Eliza Review
What can I say about this game? It’s a very difficult one to review for so many reasons. All in all it is an amazing game that was well thought out. My issue? It spiraled me into a sad state and I couldn’t wait to get through it.
The plot and characters were well thought out and in-depth. Eliza is an Ai ran program to offer people quick and affordable therapy, while there are human proxies acting as the mediator to give that ‘human’ touch. The story was more about a woman named Evelyn, who worked on the development and her passage through grief and despression. The characters felt so real, but there personalities were all very extreme and grating. Obviously if the game were pleasant the point would not have been driven home.
Is the game also about the dangers of Ai? Yes of course, but it lets you reach your own conclusion. The world is very divided on the topic, and ths game does a good job of letting you take your own position.
I won’t say more, except this: Play the game, but make sure you are in a good headspace.
